Life in 'Bits' and pieces

Hi there people, this is my first post in my new blog...I'm excited! I'm just going to put all my thoughts here...
Alright, to start with, I've been through 4 months of college and it has been rocking, to the core. In the beginning I was scared the seniors would ask me to strip or something like that, luckily they gave consideration to my non-gayness...they asked me to do other things though..
What's really sad is the regionalism here. I found it really funny that only the Telugu (they call themselves "Gults") rag (the seniors call it "Senior-Junior healthy interaction"..LOL!!) Telugu juniors!!! Cummon, when you are doing it anyway, why differentiate ???
That apart, hostel life is real cool. As Chetan Bhagat puts it "...most engineering students live in the ultimate educator - boys' hostels. ". Our warden sometimes pisses me off with his pathetic accusations (The most reasonable one being all of us wishing a guy on his birthday at 12 in the night, don't ask about the other ones). We find fun in doing all kinda weird things, like playing table tennis till 4 in the morning and badminton under near zero visibility (Yeah, it can be real fun!).
Now, time to introduce you to the wonderful world of bitsian slang.
Gen: The best of them all! Actually originated as the short form of general but has evolved way beyond. You can use it in place of casual, just like that, whatever...you name it. You fumbling for words? Put in a gen. Just the way some rappers use the F-word.
Ob: Short form of obvious. You say "I'm an idiot" in some misdirected sense of trying to be funny and prompt comes the reply "Ob hai woh, OB!".
Acads: Short for academics
Insti: Short for institute....acads and insti, however, are almost absent from my vocabulary. There are others too, but you need to be a Bitsian to understand them.
And guess what, people have started calling me "Gen-Vijay Varma" owing to my excessive use of the word.
